I feel like there is a huge neglect on small towns. Nobody seems to notice how small they are that they manage to hide from a lot of things. A town I have become more aware of over the past year concerns me. For instance, when chldren are little, they aren’t told to stay away from drinking or alcohol; they are told to stay away from coolers they find in the woods. This is because this town is a huge center for meth trafficking. Small towns can hide from the government it is scary. Almost no money is put into this city and the most industry they have is the second largest Wal-mart along the east coast. This is because they don’t have stores, or any industry, so then everybody lives off of Wal-mart. Most people live in the houses that they great- grandparents built. In the East part of this town, nobody has ever left or been out of the state even though it is about an hour away from the border of Ohio. I am just so glad that I don’t live there. I couldn’t imagine what it is like to live in a place like that. The government should pay more attention to the small towns. Whether it is giving them more opportunities like better education, or a chance to leave the town, or just to catch and prevent more drug trafficking.
